Bio


Tamirah Collins is a visual artist based in Houston, TX. She has recently obtained her B.F.A. in Photography at Sam Houston State University. She is devoted to blending her passions of fine art and documentary photography by expressing her heritage. Collins has been a pillar in the Third Ward community in Houston, having her work exhibited in the Museum of Fine Arts with the Eye on Houston (2015-2017) and the FotoFest Biennial 2020 Central Exhibition. The SHSU Art Department recently purchased her work for the permanent University Art Collection.
